This shows the before and after shots of of the c. 1945 Boca Raton Army Air Field to the 2012 FAU campus, done for the Boca Raton's Historical Society's exhibit: Boca raton Then and Now. We took the 2012 photo while in a doorless R44 helicopter at an elevation of 5,000 feet. To capture the changed area we used a Hasselblad H4D-60 mounted on top of a Gyro Stabilizer. The hard part was trying to match the exact location of the c. 1945 shot to the 2012 one, but in the end we pulled it off. When looking at the pictures side by side, you can actually see the roads were built on top of where the old runways used to be.
