BRYCE CANYON & ZION, UTAH
May 4-11, 2014
Join world-renowned master panoramic photographer Peter Lorber and fine art photographer and post production specialist Courtenay Gilbert for this amazing workshop photographing two of the most awe-inspiring locations Utah has to offer, Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park.
We start this workshop photographing the Hoodoo filled amphitheaters of Bryce Canyon. The glowing bright red and orange formations create fascinating landscapes illuminated by the low angle light of the setting and rising sun. Bryce Canyon is the ideal place to learn how to capture expert panoramas with a true panoramist, Peter Lorber.
After two full days at Bryce Canyon we will caravan to Zion National Park stopping along the way to shoot the magnificent sights. Once in Zion we will spend our first evening going over your Bryce images as well as editing using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, and stitching your panoramas using various programs.
We will spend the next two full days photographing the mountains, canyons, buttes, mesas, monoliths, rivers, slot canyons, and natural arches of Zion’s unique geography.
Our workshops are open to photographers using all brands of cameras, Nikon, Canon, Hasselblad, etc. This is also a wonderful opportunity for photographers who wish to test drive the Hasselblad H5D or H4D Camera System, as well as Hasselblad owners who want to add to their Hasselblad experience.
If you would like to shoot with a Hasselblad Digital Camera System we offer a rental service for the duration of the workshop.
In addition to guided photo shoots and expert instruction you will also be taught how to create perfect seamless panoramas with the Seitz Roundshot VR Drive II, GigaPan Epic Pro motorized panoramic VR System, various manual VR drives, multiple stitching programs, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Most of all, you will be creating stunningly beautiful images in a fun and creative environment!
