Custom Photo Images / Photo Lab Boca Raton
Our growth as a business is a result of an evolution beginning with world renowned, panoramic photographer, Peter Lorber printing his super sized fine art prints in a self-built warehouse darkroom.
Encouraged by fellow photographers disappointed with the printing quality of local labs and awed by the beauty of Peter’s prints, Peter along with his wife Addie, a teacher at the time, decided to open Custom Photo Images, a professional photo lab in Boca Raton in September 1991.
Soon after opening photographer, printer, and designer, Courtenay Gilbert joined the team. Becoming Peter’s creative partner.
And then there were four. Jayson Ritschel, a custom framer joined our team in July 2020. Jayson brings over 28 years of experience as a framer and art installer. Working in retail, wholesale, for galleries, and private art collectors across South Florida and California.
Over the years Custom Photo Images has thrived by continuing to evolve. What started as a darkroom and film processing operation has become a full service digital lab, photography studio, boutique camera shop, gallery and in 2020, added in-house custom framing.
Together, Peter, Addie, Courtenay and Jayson work as a tight-knit group seeking to provide customers with beautiful images, the highest quality products and professional service.

Custom Photo Images
September 2014, celebrated our 25th anniversary of the opening of our Photography Gallery/Studio/Professional Lab, Custom Photo Images at our present location of Boca Raton, Florida.
Our growth as a business is a result of an evolution beginning with panoramic photographer, Peter Lorber printing his super sized fine art prints in a self-built warehouse darkroom. After much encouragement from fellow photographers who were disappointed with the printing quality of local labs and seeing how good Peter’s prints were, Peter along with his wife Addie, a teacher at the time, decided to open Custom Photo Images.
Soon after opening Courtenay Gilbert joined the team as a custom printer and Peter’s photography and creative partner. Together, they work as a tight-knit group seeking to provide customers with beautiful images and professional service.
Our philosophy has always been to use the best equipment available to capture and produce the spectacular images and prints we have established as our signature.
