MEDIUM FORMAT & PANORAMIC
Sponsored by HASSELBLAD
September 30 - October 5, 2012
For over fifty years Hasselblad has been devoted to producing the finest camera equipment known to man. For over fifty years Peter Lorber has been building his reputation as a world-renowned, award winning panoramic photographer. Hasselblad and Peter Lorber, together, offer this Medium Format / Panoramic photography workshop in the “Hostess City” of the South, Savannah, GA.
Graceful antebellum mansions line red brick streets dappled with sunlight that struggles to break through the canopy of majestic live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. In the Historic District, the cobblestone streets are lined on one side with old brick and stone facades which reflect the industrialized southern heritage of a once working riverfront, the other side, the Savannah River busy with paddle boats, cargo ships and leisure boats.
We will also bring you to scenic locations on Hilton Head Island, and Beaufort to photograph the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina where the setting sun illuminates textured shrimp boats, marshes are teaming with life, and lighthouses silhouette the sky.
You will be taught by the master panoramist himself, Peter Lorber, and post-production specialist, fine art photographer, Courtenay Gilbert (former resident of Hilton Head Island).
Our Hasselblad ...Xcursions are perfect for photographers who want to test drive the Hasselblad H4D Camera System, as well as Hasselblad owners who want to add to their Hasselblad experience.
You will be given a Hasselblad H4D camera (40, 50, or 60 mega pixels) to use for the duration of the workshop along with Hasselblad lenses and accessories. You just bring your imagination and talent.
To add an additional dimension to your work, you will be taught to work with the GigaPan Epic Pro motorized panoramic VR System, Seitz Roundshot VR Drive II, various manual VR drives, multiple stitching programs as well as Hasselblad's Phocus software. Most of all, you will be creating stunningly beautiful images with the mind blowing detail and quality Hasselblad is known for in a fun and creative environment.
If you’d like to bring a friend, spouse, partner or significant other, Addie Lorber will accompany and guide them during their stay Savannah.
