PALOUSE
WASHINGTON
MEDIUM FORMAT & PANORAMIC
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Sponsored by HASSELBLAD
Colfax, Washington
June 24-29, 2012
For over fifty years Hasselblad has been devoted to producing the finest camera equipment known to man. For over fifty years Peter Lorber has been building his reputation as a world-renowned, award winning panoramic photographer. Hasselblad and Peter Lorber, together, offer this Medium Format / Panoramic photography workshop in the Palouse region of Washington.
Palouse? What is Palouse? The Palouse is a region located where Southeastern Washington meets Idaho. It is one of the most picturesque landscapes America has so offer. The random humps and hollows create graceful rolling hills covered with a patchwork of multi hued crops of wheat and canola. This unique landscape is speckled with colorful farmhouses, abandoned vintage cars and weathered pioneer homes, making the photographic possibilities of the Palouse endless. The Palouse area also offers a beautiful waterfall, Palouse Falls, that cascades down 198 feet into a solid rock canyon. With the ideal combination of texture, color, shapes, light, shadows, the ever changing and inspiring Palouse is a magnificent photographic location.
You will be taught by the master panoramist himself, Peter Lorber and his team of expert instructors including post-production specialist, fine art photographer, Courtenay Gilbert. During our time in Palouse we will be accompanied by photographer, instructor, and guide, Jack Lien. He has lived on and photographed the Palouse for over 40 years.
You will be given a Hasselblad H4D camera (40, 50, or 60 mega pixels) to use for the duration of the workshop along with Hasselblad lenses and accessories. You just bring your imagination and talent.
Our Hasselblad ...Xcursions are perfect for photographers who want to test drive the Hasselblad H4D Camera System, as well as Hasselblad owners who want to add to their Hasselblad experience.
This is your opportunity to work with the GigaPan Epic Pro System, motorized and manual VR equipment, various stitching programs as well as Hasselblad's Phocus software. Most of all you will be creating stunningly beautiful images with the mind blowing detail and quality Hasselblad is known for in a fun and creative environment.
